Steps to Enroll in CE Courses:

Review Montana's continuing education requirements. You may visit the Montana DOI's webpage by clicking here, or quickly view Montana CE requirements using the buttons to the right (mobile device users - buttons will be lower on this page).

Scroll down this page to enroll in the 1-hour course Montana Legislative Update (required for all MT producers) if you have not yet completed it during your current renewal cycle.

Click here to proceed to our Direct CE® order page to enroll in your remaining CE courses. Montana producers must complete at least one 3-hour ethics course. Remaining hours needed can be satisfied by completing any approved CE course. All Direct CE® courses are approved for continuing education credit in Montana.

Producers must complete 24 hours of continuing education courses every 2 years.

  • Of these 24 hours, one 3-hour Ethics course is required.

State Compliance requirements (Enrollment Information found lower on this page):

  • All Montana insurance agents must complete a 1-hour Montana Legislative Update course.
  • Note:
    Montana producers seeking to sell national flood insurance policies must take a one-time, 3-hour course. Our course Fundamentals of FEMA Flood Insurance meets this requirement.

  • Producers seeking to sell long-term care policies may earn an LTC certification by completing our course "Fundamentals of Long-Term Care Insurance" for 8 CE hours.
